About Bermex
Founded in 1983 in Maskinongé (Québec, Canada), Bermex is the leader among manufacturers of customizable dining room furniture, pub tables and bar stools made of select grade birch. It supports more than 575 employees and possesses five factories equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
Over the last few years Bermex has become more and more the Specialist of high quality Wood Casual and Formal Dining Furniture, Pub Tables and Bar Stools. Bermex is now one of the most important manufacturer of Wood Chairs and Bar Stools in North America with over 300 models to choose from.
We mainly use selected North American Birch, controlling everything from the raw wood to the finishing of the furniture in our five factories. All of our Dining Furniture comes in any of over 170 different finishes to choose from and over 300 different fabrics for the cushions on our chairs and bar stools.

Our attention to detail is a daily preoccupation that we take seriously. Each individual element that comes together in the conception of one single piece of furniture is inspected and held up to the highest standard of quality. Nothing will leave the factory until it is a finished product that we would be proud to bring into our own homes.
Noble Birch
Bermex furniture is made of birch grown in North American forests. Only the best pieces of this wood species, known for its beauty and sturdiness, are used in the making of our furniture.
- Coming from North America, it is perfectly adapted to our climate
- Kiln-dried to 7% humidity, to help prevent from any future warping
- Can be repaired and restored to its original beauty unlike veneer
Bermaguard
- Catalyzed varnish exclusive to Bermex
- Engineered by the largest finish manufacturer in the world: Axalta
- Will protect furniture from most spills and stains
Please note that the catalyzed varnish can take up to 30 days to harden completely. You should be extra careful on using your table for that period of time.
FAQs
Do you offer delivery?
We have an amazing delivery team! We not only deliver, we set up your new items and place them just where you would like them.
And if there is packing materials … we take all that away with us when we leave. Our delivery is no charge in the greater St. John’s area.
We also may arrange delivery for those customers living outside our normal delivery area.
Can you hold my purchase?
We have a 15,000 square feet warehouse attached to our store.
We understand many times customers may not be ready to take delivery of their new furnishings.
To assist those waiting for renovations completed or their homes to ready for them, we can help ease that stress by storing your items here in our warehouse until you are ready to receive them.
Warranties
We go to great lengths to bring our clients the best in quality, but if something should happen, almost everything here would come with a manufacturer’s warranty.
Please also note we have a talented repair/claim team with years of experience in the industry who can assist with any issues that be encountered.

Do you offer decorating services?
Yes we sure do! As a matter of fact we love to decorate! The more info you bring us the easier it is.
Please bring in photos of your room and the room’s dimensions and we can do a furniture floor plan and come up with different ideas to help you have the room you always wanted.
Do you sell from inventory?
We have a very extensive inventory and most often we have more of the item in stock in our warehouse.
If we do not have more than one of the item in question selling it is at the discretion of management.
